About Brooke
"When we live in alignment with our innermost values, our lives naturally become more meaningful, more joyful, and more nourishing."
As a counseling intern with over 10 years of experience as a yoga and mindfulness practitioner, I enjoy helping people connect with themselves on every level. I work with individuals of all identities and backgrounds to facilitate moments of self-discovery. My lens is integrative, utilizing a psychodynamic approach to bring clients' subconscious patterns and ideas to the surface where we can then use a humanistic approach to effect the changes that they seek. My work and training as a trauma informed yoga teacher makes me a good fit for individuals who might be curious about incorporating mindfulness and / or somatic practices into their journeys, and my background as a high school English teacher helps me to connect well with adolescents as I am aware of the many challenges they face. As your counselor, I am here to walk alongside you as you expand your tolerance for discomfort and learn to embody the ease, growth, confidence, and joy that you seek.
When not in the office, you can most likely find me somewhere outside with my husband and our dog, Klaus. I enjoy rafting, doing yoga, fly fishing, hiking, horse packing, writing, reading, mountain biking, cross training, surfing, and otherwise exploring the land both near and far.
